SCA Brewing Skills Foundation
Course Time: Two day class (9am a 3pm)
Prerequisites: None; Intro to Coffee Recomended
The Brewing Skills Foundation course introduces the learner to the different methods of brewing coffee and extraction principals. The learner will receive theoretical and practical hands-on instruction for a range of devices including automatic and manual gravity brewers, as well as other commonly used brewers within their local culture. Learners will also explore how to produce a tasty brew based on an understanding of the essential brewing elements and the sensory analysis of their brew results.
Written Exam required for completion of course.

Upon completion of the course work, students will have 21 days to take the SCA Brewing Skills Foundation written exam online. After passing the exam, students will earn the SCA Brewing Skills Foundation Certificate and points toward their diploma.
Once you have booked and your payment is confirmed, we will begin the process of preparing your class. Although we understand that there are situations beyond our control that may require you to reschedule or cancel your reservation, our refund and rescheduling policy reflects the costs incurred in preparing the scheduled class.
During the class we include lunch, snacks and refreshments.
Refund/ Cancelation Policy: Training fees are fully refundable if training is canceled at least 15 days prior to the start of the course. If the reservation is canceled between the 14 to 3 days pror to the course a 50% cancelation fee will be charged. No cancellation is available with less than 2 business days notice, however you can reschedule with the corresponding rescheduling fees.
Rescheduling Fees: No fee is applied if rescheduling is requested at least 7 days before the start of the course. A rescheduling fee of US $75 will apply if rescheduling is requested less than 7 days prior to the start of the course.
